Križanský, Ján ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Horáček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis aims for a theoretical and practical comparison of two different approaches to dynamic memory management in TinyOS operating system designated for simple programmable devices. For each of the approaches we were observing different aspects, among others the effectivity of usage of resources, allocation speed and usability from the programmers point of view. Thesis also extends the capabilities of dynamic allocation onto external flash memory. It shortly explains the principles behind dynamic memory allocation and it's application in the area of simple programmable devices with limited resources.
Phenomenon of free time
Lopour, Milan ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Blažková, Miloslava (referee)
The thesis "The Phenomenon of Free Time" focuses mainly on grasping free time as a phenomenon by analyzing the related terms in the work of Karl Marx and in the work of Emmanuel Lévinas. The introductory section is therefore devoted to a selection of philosophical questioning about the nature of time. Then I focus on analyzing the works of Karl Marx, especially in the light of the terms work, working hours and free time. In the chapter "Time in Phenomenology", I focus on the difference between the Aristotle's conception of time and the phenomenological conception of time. In this relation, I come mainly from the ideas of Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Jan Patočka and Emmanuel Lévinas. In the next section, I analyze the work of Emmanuel Lévinas and focus on the terms existence, time, work and other related terms. In the next chapter, I try to capture the tension of onticity and ontology of Marx and Lévinas and thus reach the phenomenon of free time as an ontological problem. I present this conception of the problem of the phenomenon of free time in the conclusion.

In the second part of my thesis I concentrate on the publishing concept of a free newspaper. I write about advertizing, ownership and distribution channels, as well as target groups and editorial staff. Finally in the third main part of my work I discussed the content characteristics of free dailies. I used the results from my quantitative analysis as a source of information. I came to the conclusion that free newspaper use original texts as well as press agencies sources to fill their pages, that are colorful, highly structuralized and inspired by audiovisual media. In the final part of my thesis I summarize the evolution of the market with free dailies over the past few months and I discuss the possible future development. I came to the conclusion that both...

Zero price effect: An experiment
Pospíšil, David ; Chytilová, Julie (advisor) ; Soudek, Jan (referee)
This thesis is focused on increase of demand of good that becomes free, named the zero price effect. This increase cannot be fully explained by the standard economic model. The aim of this thesis is to broaden existing literature with observation of the effect on the different groups of consumers coded as group with higher education and lower education respectively. The first chapter introduces the zero price model, which describes consumers behaviour when given the choice of a free product. Next, the decision process is described using the value function and description of possible psychological sources of the zero price effect follows. Second chapter summarizes the existing experiments on zero price effect. The last chapter describes the main experiment which took place in office canteen and in the recyclables collection point. The results do not confirm the existence of the effect in these two environments, demand drop as a reaction to price reduction was observed on the recyclables case. Due to these facts, the hypothesis about the difference in magnitudes on these two samples cannot be verified.
